Countries like India and the United States are not satisfied with the app's ownership, and they have decided to remove it from google and the app store. India
In 2016, TikTok first debuted in India, and after some days, it was able to make the market over India. India accounted for 30% of TikTok downloads, according to data published in April 2020 which was listed as one of the most TikTok user countries
Ban of 2019
The Madras High Court, on April 3, 2019, requested the Indian government to prohibit the app. the reason behind the prohibition is it "encourages pornography" and displays "inappropriate content. The court also passed the statement that tiktok videos are not allowed to show on television. After banning tiktok in India, Google and Apple deleted TikTok from Google Play and the App Store on April 17.

Following a plea by TikTok inventor ByteDance Technology, the Madras High Court reversed its verdict on April 25, 2019, and the ban was lifted. Following that occurrence, the tiktok app might lose 15 million users.
Ban of 2020
On June 29, 2020, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology banned 58 Chinese-made apps, including TikTok. At that time, the relationship between Indian and Chinese forces was not good as on the shared border between Ladakh and Western China. As a result, India banned 58 apps, including Tiktok.
The authority of India had released the reason behind the prohibition was "to protect the data and privacy of India's 1.3 billion residents" and claimed that these apps steal the user data. To maintain people's privacy, the government of India banned those apps permanently.
United State
President Donald Trump signed an executive order on July 31, 2020, to examine the policies of the apps and determine if they were threatening or not. On the other hand, Trump can impose restrictions on international trade. Later, President Trump said that TikTok would be banned in the United States. People are dissatisfied with Donald Trump's decision as it was not looked like a serious issue. Experts are divided into two groups on whether TikTok offers a security concern, while others claim that it does not.

Joe Biden is investigating whether TikTok is threatening or not, as it is a popular social video app and runs smoothly in many countries. Biden shares his predecessor's fear that TikTok's Chinese parent firm, ByteDance, poses a national security danger to the United States. A spokesperson of tiktok had said thatTikTok's data is kept in the United States, with backups in Singapore, and has 'no link' with the subsidiary Beijing ByteDance Technology
Bangladesh
Bangladesh has resolved to take action against obscenity and gambling-related applications and websites. Bangladeshi authorities pulled down the TikTok applications in November 2018 to prevent children and minors away from inappropriate material. Bangladesh's Minister of Post and Telecommunication claimed, "TikTok authorities have told the government that "offensive" videos uploaded from Bangladesh will be erased." As a result, the prohibition on TikTok in Bangladesh has been removed.
Pakistan
Pakistan banned the popular social networking app Tiktok on October 9, 2020. The material on the app is immoral and vulgar, so it has been suspended. The restriction was subsequently abolished after 10 days on October 19, 2020. However, owing to the app's undesirable material, a Pakistani court ordered another ban on TikTok in March 2021. TikTok representatives are now in talks with Pakistani government officials to iron out any kinks and allow Pakistani authors to make the content more inviting while boosting relations with the country.
Indonesia
In July 2018, Indonesia became one of the first nations to outlaw the widely used app. The Indonesian government imposed the ban after TikTok was accused of spreading obscene and indecent content offensive to Indonesian culture and religion. The government banned TikTok from the country in order to make the internet safer for everyone.
Nonetheless, the Indonesian government imposed the ban as a temporary measure, possibly lifting it if Titktok complies with the requirements to make the interface cleaner. Soon after, TikTok made steps in Indonesia to control the infringing content, and the restriction was eventually removed after 8 days.
